MEMBERSHIP · PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY · GLOBAL NETWORK

Membership for serious operators and the industry that serves them.

The Coworking Institute’s membership connects independent operators with the knowledge, network, and ongoing support that most coworking businesses never had access to.

Education gets you started. Membership compounds the learning.

// The case for membership

Coworking is an isolating business to run alone.

Most coworking operators make their biggest decisions — pricing, positioning, software, legal structure, expansion — in isolation. They either wing it, pay expensive consultants, or spend hours online getting opinions from people who’ve never run a space.

Institute membership fixes that. It puts you inside a community of serious operators, gives you access to the most comprehensive knowledge base in the industry, and keeps you connected to educators and peer expertise on an ongoing basis.

This is what professional development looks like for a coworking operator.

// What you get

Every member gets the full stack.

Both membership tiers — graduate and corporate — include the complete set of member benefits. The difference is price, not access.

01

COMMUNITY

The Operator Community

Access to the Institute's private member community — a global network of independent coworking operators sharing what's actually working, asking hard questions, and holding each other accountable. No vendors pitching. No cheerleading. Operators talking to operators.

02

WIKI

The Coworking Wiki

Full access to the Institute's knowledge base — the most comprehensive vendor-neutral operational reference resource in the coworking industry. Software comparisons, legal structure guides, financial benchmarks, operational frameworks. The answers to the questions you're Googling at 11pm, written by people who've been there.

03

AMA CALLS

Monthly AMA Calls

Open forum calls with Institute educators and rotating industry experts. Bring your real problems — pricing decisions, difficult members, lease negotiations, software choices — and get direct input from people who've solved them before. No agenda. No slides. Just answers.

04

GUEST SPEAKERS

Guest Speaker Series

Regular sessions with operators, investors, lawyers, designers, and industry builders from across the global coworking community. Case studies, critiques, and perspectives you won't find at a conference panel. Members only.

05

IN PERSON EVENTS

Member Networking Events

Access to Institute member events — including virtual networking sessions and, where available, in-person gatherings tied to GCUC conferences and regional Institute events. The relationships you build here are worth more than the content alone.

06

LEARNING

Asynchronous Learning Library

A growing library of self-directed learning content available exclusively to members — recorded sessions, frameworks, templates, and implementation guides that sit outside the formal program curriculum.

07

DISCOUNTS

Education Discounts

Members pay the member rate on all Executive Education courses — every course, every time. MBA graduates on the graduate membership tier pay the graduate rate. Non-members always pay more.

// Membership types

Two tiers. One standard of access.

Both tiers include identical member benefits. Your tier reflects your situation — not a restricted version of the product.

// Education + membership

Two products. One ecosystem.

Membership and education are designed to work together — but neither requires the other.

You can join as a member without completing a program. You can complete Foundation or the MBA without continuing to membership. But the operators who get the most from the Institute do both.

01

FOUNDATION → MEMBERSHIP

Complete Foundation and join as a Graduate Member. Continue learning through the community, Wiki, and AMA calls while you prepare to open — or while you decide whether the MBA is your next step.

02

MBA → MEMBERSHIP

Graduate from the Coworking MBA with your CMBA credential. Transition directly to Graduate Membership at $100 per month. Stay connected to the community, retain access to your tutors through AMAs, maintain your credential and access Executive Education courses at the graduate rate as the catalogue grows.

03

TEAM → CORPORATE

Bring your senior leadership team in together on Corporate Membership. Up to five named seats, full member access for every seat holder, an organisational credential portfolio, and priority access to team enrolment in the Coworking MBA.

// A different kind of membership

Affiliate Membership.
For the people who serve the industry.

The coworking ecosystem runs on more than operators. Brokers, software vendors, furniture suppliers, fit-out specialists, IT providers, and consultants are the upstream and downstream partners that every operator depends on.

Affiliate membership is how those partners engage with the Institute’s operator community — on terms that are good for everyone.

The Institute’s operator community is not a sales channel. Affiliate members are here because they add genuine value to the operators they work with — and because being part of a professional community of serious operators makes them better at what they do.

Affiliate membership is structured to reflect that. It is not a sponsorship. It is not a directory listing. It is a professional relationship between the Institute and the partners who genuinely contribute to the success of independent coworking operators.

Who affiliate membership is for

01

Software & Technology Vendors

Space management platforms, access control providers, billing systems, visitor management, and other technology vendors serving the coworking sector.

02

Commercial Real Estate & Brokers

Tenant rep brokers, flex space consultants, and commercial real estate professionals who work with coworking operators on location, lease, and deal structuring.

03

Design, Fitout & Furniture

Interior designers, fitout contractors, furniture suppliers, and acoustic specialists working in the coworking and flex workspace sector.

04

Professional Services

Lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, and financial advisors with genuine expertise in coworking and flex workspace.

05

Consultants & Advisors

Independent consultants, coaches, and advisors working with coworking operators on strategy, operations, or growth.

What affiliate membership includes

  • Listed profile in the Institute's affiliate directory (member-visible)
  • Opportunity to contribute to the Wiki as a domain expert (editorial review applies)
  • Access to selected guest speaker slots (by invitation, based on relevance)
  • Attendance at member networking events
  • Institute affiliate badge for use in your own marketing

What it does not include

  • Direct access to the operator community for sales or marketing purposes
  • Unsolicited contact with member operators
  • Sponsored content or paid placement in Institute communications

Pricing

Affiliate membership is priced on application. Pricing reflects the category of affiliation, the size of the organisation, and the nature of the relationship with the Institute’s operator community.

We are selective. Not every application will be accepted.

// Questions

Membership FAQ.

Can I join as a member without completing a program?+

Graduate Membership is open to Foundation and Coworking MBA completers. If you haven't completed a program, your route in is Corporate Membership through your organisation — or enrol in a program and join on completion.

How does graduate pricing work?+

On completion of the Foundation program or the Coworking MBA, you'll receive a verification link to join as a Graduate Member at $100 per month. Graduate pricing is permanently available to you as long as you maintain an active membership.

Is there a monthly membership option?+

Membership is sold on a 12-month term, billed annually. This reflects the nature of the community — the value compounds over time, and short-term memberships don't give you enough time to get the full benefit.

What happens if I let my membership lapse?+

Your credential — the CMBA — and your Foundation certificate are permanent and are never revoked. If you let your membership lapse and rejoin later, you re-enter at whatever tier you qualify for at that time.

How does corporate membership work in practice?+

Corporate membership gives you up to 5 named seats. Each seat holder gets their own member account with full access to all benefits. You manage seat allocation through your organisational account. Additional seats are available on request.

I'm a vendor — can I join as a member?+

Graduate and Corporate Membership are for coworking operators and professionals. If you're a vendor, supplier, or service provider to the industry, affiliate membership is the right fit. Enquire via the affiliate section above.
